Notice on the use of cookies

When you visit one of the websites of Schaeffler AG and companies in which Schaeffler AG, directly or indirectly, has a controlling interest (Schaeffler Group), information will be stored on your computer or mobile device in the form of a so-called "cookie". Cookies are small data files that enable analysis of website use, store settings and data in your web browser and enable us to tailor the website to your interests and to display advertisements on other websites based on your interests. We do not collect personal data using cookies unless you have given us your express consent to do so.

More specifically, we inform you about the following services and cookies:

a) Google Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Inc. ("Google") for website analysis. Google Analytics uses cookies that allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand within the member states of the European Union or in other countries party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of the relevant website to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services to the website operator relating to website activity and internet usage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be linked to any other Google data. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include the code 'anonymizeIp;' to enable an anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

You can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link: Disable Google Analytics An opt-out cookie will be set. This cookie will prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. Alternatively, you can download and install the browser plug-in. It is available from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=nl.

More information on Google Analytics' terms of use and privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/nl.html or at https://policies.google.com/?hl=nl.

b) Google advertising services

This website uses advertising services provided by Google. Google uses cookies for the use of the advertising services described. Cookies allow user behaviour when visiting the website to be analysed and then used for, for example, ads based on usage and interest.

This website uses Google's remarketing function. This enables website visitors to be shown ads based on their interests when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network or when they use Google Search and have previously visited certain parts of this website. The remarketing function may set Google's DoubleClick cookie.

When we run a communication/marketing campaign targeting online ads, we use AdWords to display ads based on your likely interests and your use of this website using the remarketing function. Depending on the purpose of the advertising campaign, a so-called conversion cookie or a preference cookie for Google ads may be placed to track whether a user has seen and clicked on the ad.

Google Analytics' advertising features report to the Google Display Network both impressions and likely demographic characteristics and likely interests of website visitors. Your likely demographic characteristics and likely interests are revealed through the way you use our website and apps or through other companies that also use Google's advertising features to better understand your likely interests. This information is stored in the preference cookie for Google ads and in the Google DoubleClick cookie and may be passed on to third parties, such as advertisers.

Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser with other Google data. No personal data will be collected, transmitted or analysed.

The following link provides more information on how to prevent Google's advertising functions from collecting data: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=nl.

More information about Google's advertising features and the cookies used, as well as the privacy policy of Google's advertising features, can be found at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ or at https://policies.google.com/.
